Biography[]
TARAN NOAH SMITH (Mark Taylor) landed his first job at the age of six months, appearing on the cover of "Baby News," a retail store catalogue devoted to merchandise for infants and toddlers. At eight months, he launched his television career, starring in a Mervyn's commercial. Since then, Taran has been seen in numerous commercials, catalogues, and print ads for J.C. Penney, Macy's, and other retail stores. "Home Improvement" is his first series role. Now seven, Taran spent the first four years of his life on a 41-foot wooden power boat docked at Sausalito, Ca. He and his family now live in San Rafael, where Taran loves dirt-biking and flying with his dad in the family's two-seater airplane.
